I'm a journalist with a focus on climate, the ocean, pollution, corporate influence, environmental justice, and international policy. I've written about companies that sue governments for taking climate action, covered the global decline of seabird colonies, explored how plastic affects our hormones, and the use of insurance to protect global coral reefs. My reporting has also taken me into UN negotiations to develop a global plastics treaty, which has been a primary focus for the past three years. My work has appeared in The Guardian, Dialogue Earth, Live Science, the BBC, Wired UK, The Atlantic, Yale e360, and Scientific American. I contribute weekly to Anthropocene Magazine, where I cover their agriculture and environment beat. I am also a script writer and editor for TED Education.
